It was a crisp, fall day on October 26, when the Builders Association Government Relations Committee held their second annual PAC fundraiser at the Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook. After a cocktail reception, the committee honored this year’s Construction Industry Advocates. Among the honorees were Illinois State Senator Bill Brady, Chicago Alderman Walter Burnett, Jr., and DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin. The Government Relations Committee works to strengthen the industry’s voice by building relationships with government officials who support construction. The committee would like to thank all who sponsored the event, especially Mike Meagher and this year’s Excavator Sponsor, the James McHugh Construction Co.
