The 2017 Spring Summit is just around the corner! The event will take place on Thursday, May 11 at Maggiano's Little Italy in Oak Brook, starting at 11:30 a.m. Spring Summit will not only honor Chicagoland's safety all-stars and provide an opportunity for industry networking, but will also feature a timely presentation on risk management in an industry with that is increasingly being shaped by tightening regulation and intense competition.
This year's keynote speaker is Steve Coughran, Director of Strategy for Coltivar Group and author of "Delivering Value."
In the modern economy, a company cannot sustain long-term success through a single core competency. Today’s market requires a push for organizational learning to remain relevant. This session will discuss the barriers to strategic success that erode company profitability and will guide attendees in creating adaptable, learning-centric strategies.In this 60-minute presentation, Steve will introduce methods to implement efficient organizational structures and process enhancement to mitigate risk and strengthen competitive advantage.
About Steve Coughran:
Through his position at Coltivar Group, Steve helps clients on a broad range of issues including strategy, organizational structure, financial management, and operational effectiveness. Having launched and managed three cross-industry companies, Steve has gained a deep understanding of the competitive business environment. Through combining experience with financial acumen gained from working with million and billion dollar firms at Ernst & Young, he transforms CFOs into leaders of the future. He has extensive experience assisting firms with strategic growth, business valuation, and corporate financial management.
Steve is a CPA, CVA, and MBA. He recently participated in the Executive Education Program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and graduated with his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. In addition, he earned his Master of Accountancy from the University of Denver and a Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from the University of Colorado Denver.
